Goondiwindi SILO Inc (Schools Industry Links Outreach) trading as Gateway To Training (GTT) is a community based organisation which aims to provide flexible and responsive lifelong learning opportunities for regional communities.
The not for profit grassroots based entity was formed in 2000 and services the regions of the Border Rivers and South West Queensland with offices in Goondiwindi, St George, Warwick and Stanthorpe.
The organisation owns and manages Goondiwindi's specialised training centre GTT which operates on a commercial basis providing the community, businesses and professional organisations with access to its training and meeting infrastructure at cost-effective rates.
SILO continually seeks ways to enhance employment skills and build the capacity of rural and regional communities through the delivery of training and employment-related government and non-government programs.
SILO recognises that for rural and regional industries, businesses and communities to grow and prosper in a highly competitive environment, investment in people is absolutely vital. SILO's vision is to connect and create partnerships to facilitate lifelong learning options to build vibrant, resilient regional communities that are alive with opportunities.
GTT offers free access to its Regional Study Hub for local external, online or distance education students who are undertaking any of the following qualifications:
